Quick Update After Our Looooong Ultrasound
Today was the day of the big Level II ultrasound/anatomy scan! During this ultrasound, the doctor looked at pretty much everything: brains, spines, hearts, kidneys, bladders, noses and lips, and even fingers. Multiply that times three babies and you can imagine how tiresome it was! Totally worth it, though, to get a good report. Mommy was struggling a little (being on my back does not agree with me - the last two ultrasounds, I've come close to fainting!) but the important thing is that all three babies looked really good. The tech was so patient, bless her heart. She must have thought I was pretty high maintenance, but I couldn't help it - there was NO getting comfortable on that table. I just had to keep flipping from side to side, and then eventually she just let me sit all the way up for Baby C, who is pretty high up in this big belly of mine. We are so thankful that there were no problems or abnormalities detected today. The doctor did say he wants to take a better look at all three hearts next time, but not because he's concerned or worried about anything; they just had trouble getting a really good view of all the heart chambers because of the way the babies were positioned (or perhaps because of the way Mommy was flopping all around like a beached whale, although they never said that). Also, no little parts showed up today that weren't there the last time. Still girls! We're narrowing down names - it's harder than you might think!
